You travel into the dark. Each step you take feels like you step on nothing. There is no ground that you can discern, but you believe you are progressing. It is disorienting to not feel the ground beneath your feet. Upon looking down you find that you are unable to see your legs. Or feel them. You are unsure if you even have legs at all, or if you are just simply imagining them because it would make sense for you to have them.
